Afro-Caribbean Dance Group The Afro-Caribbean Dance Group is a non-profit community organization dedicated to promoting the rich & diverse culture of Canadian people of African and Caribbean heritage through the various art forms. Since it's inception in 1982 our program has been operating with the support of North York Parks and Recreation Department. We are located at Seneca Village Community Centre at 1700 Finch Ave. E. Parent volunteers manage the group. All parents and senior students are welcome to volunteer their time and skills in any capacity. Our Objectives • To promote Afro centric culture through the arts forms of drumming, dance and drama. • To raise the consciousness of local black youths. Give them a sense of pride, and encourage them to share their heritage with the mainstream and other ethnic communities in our society. • Develop and promote physical fitness good health and self-esteem.
